Course content

1.Revealing insight: Consumers and social content planning

This module introduces the key social media concepts including the role of the social media marketer, the value of social research, and the importance of establishing brand capabilities and goals. You will then deep-dive into the topic of audience research, including what array of tools are best suited for the job. Next, you will focus on how to engage with and acquire customers using social content including some key considerations to bear in mind when planning content for social channels.

2.Social apps for marketing

This module focuses on the various social media platforms available to digital marketers and how they can be used to grow and engage with a social media community. It demonstrates the fundamentals of the major social media apps and platforms and how each best practices can be best applied to benefit a business’s digital marketing strategy

3.Social video platforms

This module introduces the concept of social video marketing. It begins by outlining the benefits of incorporating social video into your marketing campaigns, and provides best practices for doing so. The module concludes by showing you how to set up, customize, promote, and manage both a YouTube channel and a TikTok channel, and how to use the two platform’s features effectively for optimizing, customizing, and promotion.

4.Building a social media strategy

This module focuses on how to create a high-impact social media strategy. The module begins by explaining why businesses create social media strategies in the first place and by outlining the steps involved in developing one. It then looks at the importance of setting measurable objectives for your social media marketing campaigns, as well as how best to work with social strategy data.
