Aims of the Module

The Social Media module aims to equip learners with skills to develop effective strategies that align with organisational goals and enhance audience engagement across platforms. It covers management and optimisation of social media channels, assessment of activity effectiveness, and awareness of the latest trends and tools in digital marketing.

Assessments Methods 

The module will be assessed online MCQ examination. 

Assessment for the module is through an onscreen multiple-choice test, consisting of 45 questions to be completed within 90 minutes.

Entry requirements 

For marketing managers and marketers working in operational and supervisory roles, who are aiming to advance their strategic and management skills.

You’ll need to have a minimum of two years’ experience working in the industry at an operational level or a relevant Level 4 qualification to study the Diploma in Professional Marketing. If English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate you’ve achieved an equivalent qualification.

How can it be used?

Learnings from the Social Media module can be applied to develop effective strategies that enhance audience engagement, manage and optimise platforms, assess performance, and adapt to the latest digital marketing trends, ultimately strengthening audience relationships and achieving marketing objectives.
You can use it as a standalone Level 6 certificate to demonstrate your expertise or as an elective in the Level 6 CIM Professional & Digital Marketing Diploma, with additional modules available to complete the full qualification.

I am a qualified teacher who has been working in digital since 2006. I’ve worked in education, housing, tech, and journalism and have been running my own marketing consultancy since March 2020. I teach qualifications at levels 3, 4, and 6 and assess for several awarding bodies.

I love working with various companies in sectors I’ve sometimes never heard of! It keeps me on my toes and requires me to keep myself up to date with how all the online tools can be used.
